Jesse Plemons is going from cooking meth to freezing to death. The actor, who played the nephew of a white supremacist biker gang leader on Breaking Badwill make the move to another critically-acclaimed (though much less watched) TV series as the male lead in Season 2 of FX's Fargo

He'll join Kirsten Dunst, who is set to play a hairdresser looking to escape the frozen plains for the big city when the series returns in the fall of 2015. Plemons is playing her supportive husband, Ed, a butcher's assistant who doesn't quite get what his wife is going through, The Hollywood Reporter reports.

Season 2  begins a new story set in 1979 in Sioux Falls, S.D., and is based on an incident that Keith Carradine's character Lou Solverson teased in the first season when he told the story of a horrifying case he couldn't forget. Season 2 will have Solverson returning from Vietnam and working that case as a state trooper.

Let the casting comparisons to 2014's other great new drama series that reboots each season, True Detective, begin.
