Eric Garner's 24-year-old daughter Erica Garner staged a die-in at the exact spot where her late father collapsed on a Staten Island sidewalk earlier this year after an officer placed him in a chokehold during an arrest.
A group of protesters marched to the corner of Bay Street and Victory Boulevard in Tompkinsville to the spot in front of a corner store where Garner repeatedly told officers he couldn't breath. Some protesters lay down in the street as Erica Garner lay in the exact spot where her father had been, according to NBC New York.
The protest was part of an eighth-straight day of protests in cities around the world since the announcement that a grand jury had decided not to indict the white officer who is seen on video placing Eric Garner in a chokehold, or a headlock, depending on who you ask, before Garner's death.
A night earlier, police arrested 76 people at a die-in staged in London after they allegedly tried to break into a shopping mall.
