Amazon is now a one-hour delivery service, because we're living in the future. Yes, I know you're probably holding out for a hoverboard, but try to appreciate what you have.

The online retailer has introduced a service called Amazon Prime Now for certain Amazon Prime subscribers who can now get their books, sex toys, paper towels -- whatever -- in as little as one hour after they order it. If  it shows up in an hour it's $7.99 for delivery, and two hours is free (making Amazon the worst pizzeria ever, but officially the fastest place to order anything else online).

The service uses a new app and bicycle messengers to make the super-fast deliveries. Sorry, no drones yet.

Right now, Amazon Prime Now is available in only one zip code in Manhattan, but the company plans to expand the service to other cities in 2015.
