Authorities in New York City say a man who raped a woman after posing as a police officer has been charged for his actions.
The Associated Press reports that Walter Barnes was arrested on Wednesday for offering a woman a ride in Brooklyn in early October, then using a handheld radio to strengthen his cop guise. The 47-year-old then threatened to arrest the 18-year-old victim twice before sexually assaulting her.
According to the NBC New York, Barnes is a level-three sex offender who's amassed 16 arrests since 1984.
