Jerry Seinfeld Thinks He Is on the Autism Spectrum. Like, Seriously

Jerry Seinfeld told Brian Williams in an interview that Seinfeld seriously believes that he is on the autism spectrum.

During an interview with Brian Williams last night on the NBC Nightly News, Jerry Seinfeld said that he is pretty sure that he is on the autism spectrum.

“I think, on a very drawn-out scale, I think I’m on the spectrum,” he told Williams. “You know, never paying attention to the right things. Basic social engagement is really a struggle. I’m very literal, when people talk to me and they use expressions, sometimes I don’t know what they’re saying.”

All that time around Larry David really got to Seinfeld, it seems. Don’t worry, though; Jerry still sees himself as a perfectly normal member of society. “But I don’t see it as dysfunctional,” he said. “I just think of it as an alternate mindset.”

It should be noted that Seinfeld has done a lot of work for Autism awareness, performing at numerous benefits and in 2012 at the “Night of Too Many Stars.”
