Over the weekend, former Playboy Playmate Victoria Valentino shared with the Washington Post a story that has become all too familiar in recent weeks: the time she was drugged and raped by Bill Cosby.

Valentino says she and a friend had dinner with Cosby in 1969 during a very dark period in her life, and Cosby offered the women pills that “will make us all feel better.” After they returned to Cosby’s apartment after dinner, Valentino alleges that when her friend passed out, Cosby menacingly approached her.

“He came over to me and sat down on the love seat and opened his fly and grabbed my head and pushed my head down. And then he turned me over,” she said. “It was like a waking nightmare.”

As for why she didn’t go to the police, Valentino said that “In those days, it was always the rape victim who wound up being victimized. You didn’t want to go to the police…You just feel ashamed and dirty even though it wasn't your fault.”

This situation gets increasingly sad with every new accusation, and unfortunately it’s unclear if there will ever actually be any resolution. While Cosby’s lawyer Marty Singer has said that “These brand new claims about alleged decades-old events are becoming increasingly ridiculous,” they’re also not going away any time soon.
