It turns out that cool Austrian guy Christoph Waltz is not only tipped as the villain in the next James Bond film, but it is rumoured he will be playing follicular failure Ernst Stavro Blofeld.

Arguably the most famous of the Bond baddies—and memorably lampooned as Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers series—Blofeld is the leader of the villainous SPECTRE, having appeared in six of the official Bond films.

His most notable appearance is probably Donald Pleasance's ailurophiliac take on the role in You Only Live Twice (1967), but Kojak's Telly Savalas is also known for his more physical performance as the character in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969). Given the two time Oscar winning Waltz's pedigree, it will be interesting to see his take on this iconic villain.
