Health officials in New York City announced this morning that a Brooklyn woman's body tested negative Ebola symptoms. The woman, who died of a heart attack yesterday, returned from West Africa over two weeks ago.

According to the New York Times, unidentified woman, who had come back from Guinea, died yesterday at Brownsville's African Queen Hair Braiding hair salon. Emergency responders were called to the scene around 2:30 p.m. after receiving a call about a woman in cardiac arrest. Fire officials told the Times that she was pronounced dead at the scene. However, Fox New York reports that the test results came back negative.

Although the woman did not exhibit any symptoms prior to her death, city health officials took all precautions:

Health officials said they were testing the woman’s remains because she had a travel history within the 21-day incubation period for the virus.
