Michael Dunn was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole today for killing Jordan Davis at a Jacksonville, Fla. gas station in November 2012.
Dunn, 47, was convicted of first-degree murder earlier this month for firing 10 shots into a vehicle carrying Davis and three of his friends. Three bullets struck Davis, who died shortly after.
According to News 4 Jax, Dunn offered his first public apology to the teenager's family in court. "I want the Davis family to know I truly regret what happened," he said. "I'm sorry for their loss. If I could roll back time and do things differently, I would."
Dunn's sentence carries another 90 years for the three attempted murder convictions associated with the other teenagers in the car, as well as a concurrent 15-year sentence for opening fire into an occupied vehicle.
