According to authorities, the Washington high school student who killed two fellow students and wounded severa others before turning the gun on himself texted the victims to invite them to lunch.

On Friday, Jaylen Fryberg, 15, walked into the cafeteria of Pilschuck-Maryvville High School in Maryville, Wash. and opened fire. Fourteen-year-old Zoe Galasso was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting, while Gia Soriano, also 14, passed away late Sunday night. According to the Associated Press, Fryberg also shot 14-year-old Shaylee Chuckulnaskit as well as his cousins, Nate Hatch and Andrew Fryberg, ages 14 and 15. Citing Snohomish County Sheriff Ty Trenary, the Associated Press noted that Fryberg invited the five students to lunch via text message.

Andrew Fryberg and Chuckulnaskit remain in critical condition, while Hatch is the lone surviving victim to show improvement. Yesterday, the Snohomish County medical examiner declared Fryberg's death a suicide.
