Are you tired of being a struggle viewer of shows like Game of Thrones and True Detective, watching everyone fire up HBO Go on their iPads around you while you can't because you don't wanna upgrade to premium cable? Good news: that is a world of the past.
On Wednesday HBO chief Richard Pepler confirmed rumors that the premium cable network will be offering a stand-alone HBO Go service in the U.S. starting next year. "This will be transformative for our company," Pepler said during Time Warner's Investor Day confab.
He's right, mostly because this means there will be that many more people who'll be able to watch Season 5 of Thrones by borrowing their friend's HBO Go password.
