A man is being treated for what is believed to be the world’s first case of internet addiction brought on by Google Glass.

Yes, it’s a real disease. There are dozens of them.

The man in question was apparently wearing his Google Glass for 18 hours a day, taking it off only when he was washing his face or sleeping. He began to exhibit some odd symptoms, including dreams that took place entirely through the device’s grey window and feeling very irritable whenever he didn’t have it on.

He is a 31-year-old Naval serviceman who initially checked into a rehab facility for alcoholism, but he soon told doctors that the hardest part was not having his Google Glass. He soon began to suffer from involuntary movements, strong cravings, and memory problems in addition to his other symptoms.

Let this be a warning to you: put down the iPhone, Google Glass, or whatever technology you have for at least seven hours a day. Otherwise, Siri is going to haunt your dreams.
