Video just posted to YouTube shows a South Carolina police officer unloading his gun on a man for no apparent (or at least justifiable) reason. We see a black man being pulled over, and after he's asked for his license and leans into his car (possibly to get his license, like the officer asked) the cop starts screaming at him to get out of the car barely a beat before shooting at him several times, even after he's exited the vehicle.

After the shots are fired the man clearly tells the officer he was just trying to get his license. When asked if he was hit, he says he thinks so and continues to say he was just trying to get his license. He also says he didn't hear what the officer was saying.

UPDATE: Though video was just released, this all went down Sept. 4 and appropriate action has been taken already. Highway Patrol Trooper Sean Groubert, the officer who fired the shots, has been fired and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, according to BuzzfeedLevar Jones has been identified as the man shot by Groubert, and he was released by the hospital after suffering a gunshot wound to the hip.

We'll have more as this insane story develops.
