Rachel McAdams is the latest female star in talks for one of the True Detective season two leads. If you only know her from The Notebook or Wedding Crashers, she's pretty rad in the 2002 thriller Red Eye with Cillian Murphy. We reported yesterday that The Fast & the Furious director Justin Lin may direct at least the first two episodes.
Elisabeth Moss' name is also being thrown around. Her award-winning miniseries Top of the Lake was pretty similar in theme and style to True Detective. How great would it be to have McAdams and Moss team up? We can hardly take the suspense anymore—cast somebody and start shooting! After all this, hopefully the second season will live up to the first.
