A Rutgers University student died over the weekend following a fraternity party, authorities say.
NJ.com reports that Caitlyn Kovacs, 19, died early yesterday morning after a Delta Kappa Epsilon party. The Monmouth Junction, N.J. resident was taken to Monmouth Junction at 3 a.m. after witnesses say she looked to be "in distress" at the party. Kovacs was pronounced dead just at 3:19 a.m.
An official cause of death will not be announced until the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office performs an autopsy, but police told NJ.com they believe alcohol played a role in Kovacs' death.
