Saturday Night Live announced just Thursday that comedian Michael Che would replace current "Weekend Update" co-anchor Cecily Strong in the upcoming season. Strong isn't leaving the show, though, so some saw it as a bit of a slap in the face. Strong has done "Update" for two seasons, with both Seth Meyers and new head writer Colin Jost

Che, who's a Daily Show alum, joined SNL as a full-time writer last season and will debut in "Update" on September 27. However, Strong posted on Instagram that she's totally cool with the change.

"I don't see this as me leaving update, just as me being on update in a looser, goofier way that is a lot more fun for me and in a way I think I'm better at. And now I get to do features with the very funny and wonderful Michael Che!" she posted. "No point in being angry or sad for me for something I'm genuinely happy about! Unless you are just a person who enjoys being angry or sad. Then I guess play on, playa."

Welp, at least she'll still be doing that drunk girl you get stuck to talking at a party. Hopefully.
