Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence just can’t seem to quit each other.
After starring together in Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, the duo are once again reunited onscreen in Serena, a Depression era drama adapted from the novel by the same name. They play newlywed couple who are timber magnates in the mountains of North Carolina, but things start to go bad for Cooper when Lawrence discovers she can’t have children and decides to try to kill Cooper’s illegitimate son. Yikes.
The movie was actually filmed in March of 2012, but has been in editing for a staggering two and a half years months thanks to the heavy hand of director Susanne Bier. It’s finally ready to go it seems, and while there’s no U.S. release date it will at least be playing at the London Film Festival this November.
