Chances are you're too young to remember Real Genius, the 1985 film starring Val Kilmer. It was a cult classic, and now Adam Sandler's production company Happy Madison is working on rebooting the movie as a sitcom on NBC. Workaholics co-executive producer Craig DiGregorio and David King, who's written for Workaholics and Parks and Rec, will pen the script.
The show will be a workplace comedy centered upon a "rockstar genius" and a sheltered, naive coworker. Right now the deal between Happy Madison and NBC is only for a script, so it'll be a minute before we know who will star in it—if it's even picked up.
