Eleven people were injured after a stolen vehicle collided with a bus in California yesterday evening, authorities say.

The Associated Press reports that after stealing a Honda and leading police on a chase, a man crashed it into the bus in Richmond, Calif. The swerving bus then plowed into the side of a home, injuring three people inside including a woman and her two children, ages three months and 5-years-old. Another eight people were hospitalized with minor injuries.

Though the man managed to escape on foot, ABC 7 reports that police apprehended his brother.
