No offense to Enough Said, but a badass gangster thriller like The Drop is exactly how James Gandolfini's career should be capped off.

The movie, based on a screenplay from Dennis Lehane (Mystic RiverGone Baby Gone) centers around a local mainstay Brooklyn bar—owned by Gandolfini's character, Marv, and manned by Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy)—that has long functioned as a money drop for the borough's gangsters. Everything goes to shit one night when the bar gets robbed—as you probably know, gangsters hate when people take their money. What follows is a deep dive into the neighborhood to find out who screwed Bob and Marv, a character who appears to be getting the full benefit of Gandolfini's one-of-a-kind grittiness.

You'll have to wait until September 12 when The Drop, well, drops, but for the time being we've got some exclusive pictures from the set (and the trailer) below.
