An avalanche of celebrity photos claiming to show stars such as Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Victoria Justice, Krysten Ritter, Brie Larson, Hope Solo and others, both naked and nearly naked, began leaking onto Reddit today.
It's not perfectly clear where the photos are coming from, but according to Reddit commentors, a hacker on the image sharing site 4chan has been posting the stolen photos there. That user may be selling the photos in exchange for Bitcoin, according to Redditors.
UPDATE: Complex reached out to Lawrence's camp, who said, "This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence."

UPDATE: The 4chan user who appears to be responsible for the leak also shared images that suggest they're in possession of more unreleased photos, as well as videos. A huge, master list is circulating online that purportedly lists all the victims of the hack, and includes the names Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Aubrey Plaza, Hillary Duff, Lea Michele, Selena Gomez, and Vanessa Hudgens and others.
