Take this as another lesson in keeping things to yourself. Or, at least, not broadcasting it over social media where it can come back and bite you in the ass.

Kristen Kelly, a 22-year-old waitress and mother from Texas Roadhouse in Findlay, Ohio, was promptly fired after she was compelled to post an update about a bad-tipping customer, who was also a Facebook friend she had forgotton about. Yet, whether the post was a bad enough to lose her job over could be left up into interpretation. According to Kelly, after she endured a night of shitty tips, which included this Facebook friend from high school, she posted: "If you come into a restaurant and spend $50 or more, you should be able to tip appropriately for that."

The former classmate saw the post and took a screenshot of it, then showed it to managers at Texas Roadhouse, and asked for her to be fired. "They told me that I knew what I was doing when I posted that, and they would have to let me go," Kelly said. "They were really upset."

The restaurant says that Kelly said a little bit more than that, went against company policy, and added a derogatory name to the post, all which led to their decision of letting her go.
