If you’re a little apprehensive about a board game becoming a successful movie, we hear you. We saw Battleship too. We know where this can go.

Here’s hoping Ouija is a little bit more like Jumanji, although the latter did have an excellent Robin Williams to carry the movie (plus young Kirsten Dunst). Ouija stars several young teenage actors who use the titular game to communicate with their friend who died under mysterious circumstances, except in doing so they also awaken some sort of evil spirit who then tries to kill them all.

It seems like a typical haunted house horror movie mixed with a hint of Final Destination. Produced by horror veterans Jason Blum, Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller along with a different type of horror producer in Michael Bay, the movie opens on Halloween.
