We finally have the confirmation we've been waiting for: Quentin Tarantino says he is back on board with making The Hateful Eight

In case you forgot, Tarantino was pissed when the script for the post Civil War era film leaked online earlier this year and he even sued Gawker for linking to it. That suit was eventually dismissed, but Tarantino was so upset he announced he was sidelining the project indefinitely.

Rumors have been floating around since then that Tarantino had changed his mind after doing some rewrites, but he confirmed his plans at Comic Con in San Diego, Collider reports.

When asked about his next movie, Tarantino hesitated before finally saying, "Yeah – We’re going to be doing The Hateful Eight."

Here's the official synopsis of the movie:

The Hateful Eight follows the steadily ratcheting tension that develops after a blizzard diverts a stagecoach from its route, and traps a pitiless and mistrustful group which includes a competing pair of bounty hunters, a renegade Confederate soldier, and a female prisoner in a saloon in the middle of nowhere.

Tarantino was appearing at Comic Con to promote a DC comic book sequel to Django Unchained titled Django Meets Zorro. Here's some artwork from that project via DC:
