We here at Complex have been fans of Gods Will Be Watching since the game made its debut as a rather bleak indie experiment on Ludum Dare, and it's exciting news that the team has decided to take the original concept – balancing resources and daily actions to maintain the sanity, health and well-being of your stranded crew – into what's sure to be a gruesome and unnerving look at moral ambiguity.

Luckily, you don't have to wait long to try out developer Deconstruteam's expanded ethics simulator, which, if the game's launch trailer is anything to go by, has widened to include a lot of unsettling options that may or may not be undertaken to justify the notion of greater good, including torture and murder.

For those willing to take the punishment, Gods Will Be Watching hits PC on July 24.
