Authorities say a shooting at a hospital just outside of Philadelphia has left one person dead and two others—including the gunman—injured.

The Associated Press reports that police in Yeadon, Pa. say the shooting took place at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Pa. Two hospital employees were shot by the suspect, and prosecutor Jack Whelan says one of them has died. According to police, the suspect is in custody.

NBC Philadelphia notes that the shooting happened in a psychiatric ward of the Sister Marie Lenahan Wellness Center, adding that the gunman is believed to suffer from psychiatric issues.

This is a developing situation, and we will update it here as more information becomes available.
