According to a recent study, Seattle is the leading city in America for online donations for the third year in a row.

USA Today reports that Blackbaud's annual survey found that Seattle was the most generous once again, topping Alexandria, Va. and Atlanta

In its sixth annual survey, Blackbaud's report looked at the total amount donated through the company's services for 265 cities with a population of more than 100,000. In total, $822 million was raised from more than 8.3 million donations.

Steve McLaughlin, director of Blackbaud's Idea Lab, pointed to age demographics and a concentration of people with more disposable income for the rankings, specifically Seattle's. "These cities are the sweet spot for online donor demographics because they have a higher percentage of younger, wealthier and tech-savvy donors," he told USA Today

For a city that just approved the highest minimum wage in the U.S., this certainly isn't surprising.
