Nintendo's E3 digital event was basically a giant mic drop, as the company announced a packed roster of exclusive titles featuring Mario, Link, and others. However, arguably the most ground-breaking announcement from the company was the development of the Mario Maker title, a game that will allow you to design your own Super Mario Bros. levels in either 8-bit or modern renderings using the Wii U Game Pad. As you can see from the video above, the world is truly yours to create.
Fans are being empowered with an exciting amount of flexibility with this title. The Mario franchise has long been the standard for platforming and adventure games everywhere. Now the company is allowing its most loyal followers to add to the canon that the series has birthed.
Expect to see the title for the Wii U in the first half of 2015. For every day that goes by, Nintendo's once-flagging console is getting harder and harder to resist.
