A Tennessee couple is taking heat on the Internet because they tied their one-month-old infant to a wedding dress so she could better participate in their holy union. Since images from the ceremony went viral (see above), Shona Carter-Brooks and Johnathan Brooks have defended their decision, posting the following justification on social media:

First of all, let me say that I totally get the sentiment here. It's actually very nice that the Brooks family wanted their baby to be a part of the wedding. That said, it is possible there was a happy medium that would have pleased Jesus and not involved dragging a tiny human being on the floor. Perhaps a customized Babybjörn of some sort? Just a thought.
