Don't you hate it when those five pimps you've just killed turn out to be "the east coast half of the Russian mafia?"

That's the pickle we see DenzelWashington's character working with in the trailer for The Equalizer.

After months of teasers, the studio finally dropped the first proper trailer for the film, which stars Washington as Robert McCall, a former black ops commando who faked his own death to get out of the game, but gets pulled back in when he rescues a young prostitute played by Chloe Grace Moretz.

It's loosely based on a 1980s TV show by the same name, about a middle-aged special ops guy who turns vigilante to help those in need, but from what we're hearing, very loosely.

It reunites Washington with his Training Day director Antoine Fuqua, so we're pretty hopeful about this one. We get a little bit of story in the trailer, but mostly it's just Washington taking people out with measured violence and a cocky attitude. Apparently, you do not want to be in the room when this guy sets his stopwatch.

The Equalizer is set for a Sept. 26 release.
