"A few short months ago, Vulture dubbed Liam Neeson as "The New Charles Bronson." His wooden performance in The Phantom Menace may bring an end to his recent 'tough old man' streak. Neeson's work at Qui-Gon Jinn is just one of the many disappointing aspects of the film. It's hard to imagine what enticed Neeson to sign on for the project, as there's hardly anything in the film that's redeemable. To borrow from a beloved Bronson title, he must truly have a career death wish."
