In a taped segment today on Good Morning America, director J.J. Abrams revealed a new character to be featured in Star Wars: Episode VII. And, we have to say, he’s a pretty weird looking guy (assuming he is male).

This interesting-looking fellow appears to be some sort of amalgamation of a human, ostrich, camel, and E.T. He’s got a weird goatee and seems to be carrying his progeny in cages on his back. He may or may not be wearing a turban.

So, basically, he’s totally normal for a Star Wars creature.

Here’s the full segment with Abrams, during which he also announces a contest whose grand prize is a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Episode VII, plus a role as an extra in the movie.
