We’re a week away from the release of Godzilla, but there still haven’t been many clear shots of the iconic monster himself for fans to feast on. Thankfully this new clip changes that as Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures showcase the King of the Monsters emerging from the ocean and attacking the Golden Gate Bridge in classic 'Zilla fashion.
This clip is all about staging and atmosphere, and director Gareth Edwards does a perfect job of showing quick glimpses of Godzilla without giving too much away. There is palpable, realistic terror here, which is refreshingly reminiscent of Toho’s original 1954 version.
Is this the Godzilla movie fans have been waiting for? You’ll have to wait until it hits theaters on May 16 to find out for sure.
