First Daenerys, now The Doctor? This new Terminator movie just sounds crazier and crazier every day—but, apparently, that is exactly what's happening. According to Vulture, former Doctor Who star Matt Smith has joined the cast of the upcoming Terminator film, which aims to revamp the franchise. Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke was already confirmed to star ages ago—and has since been training like crazy to portray Sarah Connor, apparently—as well as Jason Clarke (as John Connor), Jai Courtney (as Kyle Reese), and the Terminator himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, presumably as the Terminator.

No word on who exactly Smith will play, but according to a press release on Deadline, "Smith will play a new character with a strong connection to John Connor." So, start guessing now—you've got until the film's release date, July 1, 2015, to figure out his role.
