The wait is over: the first photos of Johnny Depp as infamous gangster Whitey Bulger have emerged, and they're certainly in character. Take a look at the photo, which was tweeted out by Boston-based writer Megan Johnson on her Tumblr page:
The photo apparently emerged from a Russian Johnny Depp fansite, because why not?
As previously reported, Depp is starring as Bulger in the Scott Cooper-directed Black Mass, alongside The Great Gatsby's Joel Edgerton who is portraying FBI agent John Connolly. The film should hit theaters sometime in 2015, after beginning filming in Boston this month.
