Don’t get excited just yet, but Deadline might have great news for Community fans. According to the site, Hulu is in preliminary talks with Sony Pictures TV to revive the comedy for a sixth season. These talks are nowhere near finalized yet, but it’s refreshing just to know that someone is trying to do something about the series’ future.
The acquisition of Community would almost be on the level of Netflix reviving Arrested Development last year. It would help the company edge its way into a broader world of programming, and with more than six million subscribers, it would be a huge deal for its bottom line.
Again, none of this is finalized yet, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on.
