Every year, the Cannes Film Festival debuts one movie that stands above the rest as the next must-see piece of cinema. This year it seems like director Bennett Miller’s Foxcatcher is that film. Starring Steve Carell, Channing Tatum, and Mark Ruffalo, the movie follows an eccentric multi-millionaire, John Eleuthère du Pont (Carell), who establishes a wrestling facility where Dave (Ruffalo) and Mark Schultz (Tatum) train.

The movie focuses on the wrestlers’ relationship with the bizarre du Pont, who ends up becoming a murderer by the end. The role is a complete turnaround for Carell, who is absolutely unsettling in the new teaser above. Ignore the hype and the pointless Academy Award talk and just soak in the brilliance, because Foxcatcher is looking to be something special.
