"EVE Online" Developer Unveils Real Monument to Lost Virtual Starships

Developers CCP, creators of "EVE Online" series of games has erected a real life monument to the virtual wars fought in the game

EVE Online developer CCP has formally dedicated a monument to the players of the massively mutliplayer online space game first announced earlier this year. The monument to “living” and “dead” virtual space fighters includes every primary character created before March 1, 2014. Beneath the moment is buried a time capsule with videos and messages from the people of New Eden. Yes, a time capsule of a virtual place is buried in the frozen ground of Iceland; the future will be so confused.
