Well it’s official: Charlie Cox is your new Man Without Fear. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Boardwalk Empire alum will play Matt Murdock in Marvel’s upcoming Daredevil series, which will air on Netflix in 2015. Cox’s casting may come as a surprise to fans, but his stock in Hollywood has been on the rise since appearing in Boardwalk Empire during season 2.
Daredevil will run for 13 episodes on Netflix, and it will eventually cross over into the studio’s Defenders miniseries, which will also spin off from the upcoming Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Drew shows. Daredevil will be the first Netflix show from Marvel to debut next year.
