The gritty, mature-themed, comic book-based action film has become a staple of American movie-making. Disney has decided, however, that this isn’t the only way to do it.

Today they released the debut trailer for Big Hero 6, their first foray into the comic book world since acquiring Marvel in 2009. The movie tells the story of child prodigy/builder of robots Hiro Hamada and his delightfully bumbling robot pal Baymax as they team up with a group of crime fighters in the fictional city of San Fransokyo.

The movie is scheduled to be released on November 7, and will be in 3D. If the preview is any indication, expect Baymax to be a big hit with the kids:
