A Broken Water Main Flooded Katz's Deli

Katz's Delicatessen was flooded after a water main broke on Houston Street in New York.

A broken water main on Houston Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side caused the street to flood, along with famed meat purveyors Katz's Delicatessen

NBC New York reports that Houston had to be closed between Allen and Essex after the main ruptured. Aside from Katz's, officials said that eight residential and five commercial buildings were without water, and multiple businesses had been flooded. 

"It's a nightmare down there, the basement got completely flooded, destroyed everything in its path," Katz's owner told NBC.
