Videos showing rats scurrying around amongst the treats at a Manhattan Dunkin' Donuts has New Yorkers repulsed, yet still wondering if it's timing isn't coincidental (April Fools Day).

Videos captured by "Pjayone" and uploaded yesterday show a rat getting active while climbing through racks of pastries. Gothamist received the following email regarding the videos:

At two-thirty [in the morning] every [day] the workers load the shelves with the mornings wares. Shortly thereafter like clockwork the rats come out and party.

The uploader further explained this alleged rodent phenomenon in another video:

My phone ran out of power, or I would've filmed the outright nine deep rat assault which followed the action above. The items in the video that are being besieged upon by the rats were to be sold for that mornings breakfast rush. The events you see in videos happened at two-thirty in the morning.

Gothamist said that a man who claimed to be the manager (but wisely refused to give his name) said the location "[doesn't] have any issue like that." At least none of the rats looked like this.
