Dan Clevenger is no longer the mayor of Marionville, Mo

Both Clevenger and the tiny town found their way into headlines last week when he admitted that "he kind of agreed" with acquaintance and noted KKK leader Frazier Glenn Miller, who killed three people at separate Jewish centers in Kansas the day before Passover began:

None

Following those comments, a number of Marionville residents were rightfully calling for Clevenger's head on a stick. During a town hall meeting held last night, alderman voted four to one to begin the impeachment process before Clevenger ultimately resigned.

However, according to the News-Leader, there are (unfortunatel) still some people in Marionville who agree with him. "I have seen a lot more hatred from some of you people than I have seen out of Dan Clevenger," one progressive argued. "I thought we had free speech in America."

Once again, the "free speech" flag is raised to protect hate speech. How American.
