A Utah woman admitted to killing at least six of her babies after their remains were found in the garage of the home where she used to live over the weekend, authorities say.

According to CNN, Megan Huntsman, 39, told officials that she either strangled or suffocated at least six of the children immediately after they were born:

"During her interview, Ms. Huntsman admitted that between 1996 and 2006, she gave birth to at least seven babies at the Pleasant Grove residence, and that all of the babies, but one, were born alive, and that she either strangled or suffocated the babies immediately after they were born," read a probable cause statement.

Her estranged husband, Darren West, was cleaning at the Pleasant Grove, Utah, home on Saturday when he found a baby wrapped in plastic in the garage. After securing a search warrant, police found the remains of six more children inside of cardboard boxes.

Huntsman, who lived at the home until 2011, was charged with six counts of murder and is being held on $6 million bail. West, who police say has been "cooperative" with the investigation, is not currently facing charges.
