In March, word began circulating that HBO was considering bringing back the show The Comeback, which starred Lisa Kudrow as a washed up sitcom actress named Valerie Cherish. The mockumentary-style series earned three Emmy nominations, but only ran for one 13-episode season before HBO decided not to bring it back.

Now, nearly 10 years after it ended, it looks like the Comeback is, well, coming back. According to E!, HBO has agreed to bring the show back for a six episode micro-season, with production beginning in just a few weeks. Kudrow, Malin Ackerman, and Kellan Lutz—all essential members of the original cast—will be back to reprise their roles.

The series is expected to pick up nine years from where it left off, which should make for a very fresh start. While the intention is not to have the series go beyond this six episode arc, depending on how well it does there is a chance we could be getting even more of Valerie in the future.
