This Final "X-Men: Days of Future Past" Trailer Has Everything a Fan Could Ever Want

Take a look at the final trailer for 20th Century Fox’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

The final trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past is here, and it’s pretty much everything that hardcore fans of the franchise have been waiting for since 2000. In just two and a half minutes, we see mutant powers galore, Sentinels unleashing hell, Magneto ripping a football stadium apart, and the post-apocalyptic world that Chris Claremont and John Byrne put on the page decades ago.

This trailer focuses mainly on the cast from 2011’s X-Men: First Class, which is necessary because they have been downplayed in the marketing campaign so far. Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, in particular, stand out as Magneto and Xavier again, and they look to have the key dynamic in the film. Days of Future Past is the culmination of everything the X-Men movies have been building towards, and if director Bryan Singer sticks the landing, it will completely erase the ill-will created by X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

We’ll see if the movie can live up to the hype when it hits theaters on May 23.
