A Texas man shot a teenage boy that his daughter hid in her bedroom, officials say.
The New York Daily News reports that Johran McCormick, 17, was shot and killed in Harris County early Thursday morning after a man found him hiding in his16-year-old daughter's bedroom. According to KHOU, the Harris County Sheriff's Department said the man's son told him that he saw two feet under the girl's bed.
Armed, the man questioned McCormick and his daughter, but his daughter denied knowing McCormick. He reportedly shot McCormick when he made a sudden move, and authorities say it was only after the shooting that the girl admitted to knowing the teen, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Charges had not been filed as of yesterday afternoon, so the man's name has not been released, but deputies insisted the investigation is ongoing.
