Back in the 1990's, there was a trilogy of live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies—remember these guys?!—but since they were not produced by Michael Bay, they did not star Megan Fox or feature as many explosions as Michael Bay movies do. Now, however, after a decade of absence, they're back and in CGI form in a film produced by Michael Bay, starring Megan Fox, and featuring the correct amount of explosions one would expect from a Michael Bay movie. All is right in the world.

In this incarnation, the turtles—Raphael (Alan Ritchson), Michelangelo (Noel Fisher), Donatello (Jeremy Howard), Leonardo (Pete Ploszek)—have alien origins. This news made fans of the comic book a little upset, of course, but hopefully we'll all be able to give this project a chance—it does look like fun.

Check out the trailer above. TMNT hits theaters on August 8.
