Splinter Cell: Blacklist, the latest entry into the series, brought a new intensity to a serious that was already knuckle biting. The director of Blacklist, Patrick Redding, who's partly responsible for the new ramped-up drama of the game has left that game's developer Ubisoft to join Warner Bros. Games of Montreal.

Redding had worked on the Far Cry series before joining the Splinter Cell team in 2009. His new studio, Warner Bros. Games Montreal has worked on Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition for Wii U and Lego: Legends of Chima Online. His current project is unknown but gamers should be hopeful about new titles being developed by such talent.
