The action thriller 'Non-Stop' starring Liam Neeson takes the number one spot at the box office this weekend after making $10 million in tickets sales opening night.

Liam Neeson, who plays a federal air marshal, takes action during a transatlantic flight after receiving a series of text messages warning him that a passenger on the flight will die every 20 minutes unless the airline sends $150 million to an off-shore account.

By now, we've seen Neeson take on plenty of action packed roles. And by the overwhelming success of 'Non-Stop' on opening night, it's clear that movie goers love watching Neeson save the day.

Just trailing 'Non-stop' was the biblical film 'Son of God,' which made an estimated $9.4 million leaving 'The Lego Movie' third with $4.4 million. But don't feel bad. 'The Lego Movie' made a whopping $69.1 million its opening night, which ranked as the second highest opening night in February history right behind Mel Gibson's 2004 flim, The Passion of the Christ[$83.8 million].
